La Danseuse

Inspiration

Héroïne

At the beginning of the 20th century, Loïe Fuller paved the way for modern dance and the use of light installations on stage with bamboo sticks, silk and electric light. Entirely in the spirit of the times, the inventor of serpentine dance experiments to her heart's content, ignoring the conventions of classical ballet.

With high standards and great willpower she brought her visions to express her feelings in movement to life, while at the same time questioning the habitual conception of dance, continues to inspire modern dance today. Centuries later, her sensuality, joy of discovery and courage also inspired my first collection.
